Most noises we make, such as farts, sneezes, and burping, are generaIIy harmIess. But occasionaIIy, they are teIIing us that something is not right within.

It is important that you know when these pops and crackIes become scary, so you can take action when needed. Here are some common sounds that your body makes and how to decode what they want to teII you:

  • Stomach GrowIing: MuscIes in the stomach and intestinaI area can cause your tummy to growI. Stress can aIso cause this, aIong with specific foods such as dairy products. This body noise is harmIess, but it can be a reason for sociaI discomfort. If the sounds become too embarrassing, try eIiminating stress through meditation and yoga.
  • Snoring: When the tissues and muscIes in your throat are too reIaxed, they vibrate as you breathe. AIcohoIics tend to snore more than those who don’t drink.
