Another way to check the purity of your honey is through water test. Listed below are the steps:

  1. Fill a cup with water.
  2. Have a tablespoon of honey and add it in to the cup of water.
  3. If it dissolves, you don’t have 100 % pure honey.

Artificial honey will easily dissolve in water and it’ll spread throughout the container. Alternatively, pure honey will remain in the bottom of the cup.
