Avocados Can Balance Hormones, Increase Metabolism, and Fight Disease
Avocados contain grow sterols, such as beta-sitosterol, that have antiestrogenic properties. They are able to block the estrogen receptors in our cells and reduce estrogen absorption rates. Thus, increasing progesterone levels in women and testosterone levels in men.
Most people don’t know that avocados have powerful anti-aging properties contained in both the flesh and the oil. Scientists have recently discovered that avocados possess potent anti-aging properties which protect against free radicals. Avocados are able to penetrate deeply inside our cell structures, enter the mitochondria and activate its energy creation, allowing cells to operate properly whilst being constantly attacked by free radicals.
The mitochondria play an essential role in the fight free radicals. Mitochondria are central the different parts of our cellular material that produce nearly all a cell’s energy from nutrition. However, they have a dark aspect – they generate unpredictable chemicals that inflict harm to both mitochondria itself and other mobile components.
This damage directly impacts aging. It’s been the purpose of many researchers to find remedies that will invert this harm. They have found it in avocado essential oil! This new discovery can truly revolutionize our view of avocados. Lead study design author, Dr. Christian Cortez-Rojo, noted that “avocado oil causes accelerated respiration in mitochondria, which indicates that the use of nutrients for producing energy for cell functions remains effective even in cells attacked by free radicals and that mitochondria can produce little amounts of damaging free radicals.”
