6 Ways to Treat Canker Sores at Home

Canker sores are ulcers that appear on the gums, tongue, and additionally on the inside of the lips and cheeks. They are caused by injury, allergies, infection, and sometimes, even stress.

1. Coconut Oil

You should use the hands or a cotton swab dabbed with coconut oil. Place the oil to the sore. Whenever you can, make an effort to get a clump of coconut oil there. If it doesn’t stay, you can a tablespoon of coconut oil with half of a teaspoon of beeswax, that may thicken the oil.

2. Honey

You will need just a little amount of raw honey (must be organic). First, wash the mouth with tepid to warm water and then apply raw honey to the sore. Do this two to three times every day.

3. Cayenne

Get some ground cayenne pepper and add warm water to it. When a thick paste is formed, use a cotton swab to apply the cayenne cream to your sore. Do this at least twice a day to get rid of the pain and eventually remove the ulcers.

4. Aloe Vera

Take the gel from aloe vera and add it into water. Use the solution as mouthwash and make sure that you target the sores. Do this thrice daily to quicken the healing process.

5. Salt Water

In a glass of warm water, add a pinch of salt and let it dissolve for a few minutes. Then, rinse the mouth area with the perfect solution is at least 3 x each day. Do that daily before sores have died.

6. Yogurt

Pick plain yogurt which has live cultures or you may make your own. That is probably the easiest way of dealing with your canker sores because all you need to do is eat the yogurt. You’ll need just one single tablespoon (or you can end it all if you’d like), but do that 3 x every day. You can also incorporate yogurt and honey for quicker results.

You can find gels and other products that you can purchase to get relief from canker sores. But you don’t really need them because the choices above are quite effective in reducing the pain and treating the sores.
